CSJ Ministerial Formation Program for Educators

"If our life in Christ means anything to you, be united in your convictions and united in your love." Philippians 2:1

The CSJ Ministerial Formation Program for Educators fosters a dynamic sense of purpose and dignity in those who serve to bring the teaching ministry of Jesus into the future.  This program utilizes a multi-faceted process offering a unique opportunity that grounds one in a rich tradition steeped in Gospel values, Church ministry and the vision of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange.  In collaboration with the Archdiocese of San Francisco and the Dioceses of Orange, San Diego and Santa Rosa, the CSJ Ministerial Formation Program for Educators has helped educators receive religion certification and re-certification.  Every school in the CSJ Educational Network has participated in some facet of the CSJ Ministerial Formation Program for Educators. This far-reaching program is making Jesus present in the world and is helping to build the world that God desires, a world of justice and peace.

"The Ministerial Formation Program for Educators is a finely orchestrated experience that re-enforces the vocation of the teachers and provides wonderful input that increases confidence in being a Catholic educator."

Humboldt Catholic Update

The Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange place a great emphasis on ministerial formation for all associated with them in ministry.  The CSJ Educational Network gives direction to this emphasis through the Humboldt Catholic Update.  Four times a year, sessions in spiritual, theological, and pastoral formation studies are offered to local parishes and schools in Humboldt County.  This program is designed to foster spiritual and ministerial growth and to broaden the impact of the Gospel values within their daily lives.  Sessions give interested Catholics an opportunity to learn about their rich Catholic faith, its traditions and spirituality, while continuing their adult faith formation.  Each year over 100 people participate in each of the four sessions.  Sessions will take place at Assumption Church, Ferndale; St. Bernard School and St. Bernard Parish, Eureka.
